Ether Studios Hotel - Oía

O dono do hotel foi muito gentil, tem translado! É a localização é ótima!! Não fica muito perto da cidade, então para quem quer relaxar é ótimo!! A vista é deslumbrante !!

Great staff. Super friendly and helpful. Small family run place, very informal and made you feel part of the family. Fantastic location with incredible sunset views over the pool and from the porch in front of all rooms. Great value for money.

Wir waren sehr enttäuscht. Die Lage ist gut. Pool und Whirpool waren ok. Vom Pool aus hat man eine super Aussicht aufs Meer. Deshalb ist es besonders schade, dass dieses Hotel so ruiniert wird. Schuld sind die Inhaber, die offensichtlich nur Geld machen wollen, aber keinen Blick fürs Detail haben und es ihnen egal ist, ob sich der Gast wohlfühlt. Deshalb wirken die Studios von innen heruntergekommen. Besonders sauber sind sie auch nicht. Es fehlen einige wichtige Basis-Details, die sehr wichtig sind, wenn der Gast zufrieden sein soll. Im Bad konnte man die Armaturen nicht aufdrehen bzw. sie sprangen immer zurück. D.h. um sich mit beiden Händen zu waschen, musste jemand anderes den Wasserhahn aufhalten. Es war keine Seife und Duschgel vorhanden. Wenn man nichts mithatte, war es sehr ärgerlich. Das Schlimmste war, dass keine Klimaanlage vorhanden war! Es gab ledigich zwei verrostete Ventilatoren, die sehr laut waren und nur Wind erzeugten, aber keine Abkühlung. An den Fenstern waren keine Mückennetze angebracht. Somit wollten wir die Fenster nicht öffnen, weil wir keine fliegenden Gäste ins Zimmer haben wollten. Sobald das Licht anwar flogen nämlich Motten hinein. Deshalb entschieden wir uns die Fenster geschlossen zu halten und nur die Ventilatoren zu nutzen. Das Mobiliar war angeblich Traditionell d. h. alte dunkle Holzbetten und Holzschränke, die einen speziellen antiken Geruch ausströmten und irgendwie schmuddelig aussahen. Deshalb haben wir eine Lampe die ganze Nacht angelassen, weil unsere Tochter Angst hatte, dass nachts hinter den Schränken irgendwelches Ungeziefer hervorkriecht. Aus diesem Grund konnten wir nachts sehr schlecht schlafen. Es war wie im Backofen. Wir standen morgens verschwitzt und gerädert auf. Als wir zum Frühstück gingen, war nichts vorbereitet, obwohl wir die Zeit am Vortag angegeben hatten. Da wir unseren Tourbus nehmen mussten verzichteten wir dann aufs Frühstück.

great if you are on a budget and want to see santorini the pool and the view of the sunset was fantastic the owner/manager was lovely and friendly and very helpful

do not expect any type of luxury here and the room furniture is old. the place needs some renovation to bring it up to a better standard. also, hire a quad or car to get around as you have to walk uphill to the main part of oia.

The rooms and facilities were clean- and location wise great with the view and a good compromise to staying on the "inside of the island" as great sunset view and cool mornings with wind - wheras inside it is really hot with no breeze. Staff/ Family was really nice and friendly, helped us with renting a quad and giving us directions to the island and what to do - and offered a discount for guests on drinks and food.

Seemed a bit unfinished on some parts and really old fashioned furniture - could do with a re-haul to be a perfect place to stay

We liked everything.Staff(Tacis,Onesto,Margarita)each gives 100% to do their best.We phoned from bus terminal in Oia,and were picked up by car.Tacis also offered to drive us to the centerof Oia at anytime. We stayed in the upper units which are quite private and have excellent balcony sunset views and were quiet. Pool area is a treat,magnificantly located for sunset views and perfectly maintained. Location is about 500M from Oia centre,outside and below the town itself .Not a difficult walk. Excellent value for Oia.

If you want the experience of the best sunset of the island Santorini, of the world, Ether Studios is the place to be. The location is also only 200 metres of the old city Oia, the most beautiful city of the island. The persons of Ether are friendly, helpfull, open and give advise on the best trips, places, visits on the island. Taxi arrangement, earlier breakfast on request, etc. were supported. The swimming pool is a special experience: nice, every day cleaned, magnificent view on the sea and relaxing chairs. Our romantic, relaxing holiday at Ether Studios was 100% succesful.

Great location - 10 minutes walk from Oia town and 15 minutes walk from Amoudi Bay reaturants and sea. Very convenient if you dont have a car. Very quiet and fantastic views of the sea (and famous sunset!). Very clean and great room. Excellent swimming pool and facilities. Very friendly family run place and great service.

We loved the swimming pool and the view. The owner was very helpful and friendly as was his staff.

The walk uphill to the town

The room is big and clean, nice views to the sea, we can see the beatiful sunset in the evening from the balcony. Botteled drinking water is provided everyday. Hotel stuffs are nice, we had a good stay here.

you need to walk 10 to 15 minutes from the centre to get to the hotel. A little far, on the other hand peaceful though. You need to come back early in case of darkness.
